Volunteering at H.E.L.P.

We are excited about your interest in volunteering at H.E.L.P.! Volunteers are the backbone of any equestrian program for people with disabilities. Most of our clients cannot participate without the physical, emotional, and psychological support of our volunteers.

There are also other volunteer opportunities apart from working directly with clients. We are always in need of volunteers to help keep our facilities and grounds tidy, feed and care for the horses, perform administrative duties, and many other important activities.

As a volunteer, you will be a part of a professional and dedicated team. We also have a lot of fun! Therapeutic riding brings feelings of boundless joy and accomplishment to everyone involved. The rewards for both you and our clients make volunteering efforts very worthwhile.

Here’s how to “help”!

To become a H.E.L.P. volunteer, we typically recommend that you first visit our facilities to learn about what it’s like to volunteer. To ensure the highest level of safety for our staff and clients, we’re carefully scheduling visitors at this time.

STEP ONE: Contact Us

Please email us to discuss your volunteer interests so we can best guide you and introduce you to the volunteer program and to schedule a visit.

Additionally, you can schedule your visit using the button below!

After chatting/visiting with us, and you’ve decided to join the H.E.L.P. Volunteer team, you’ll need to attend a Volunteer Orientation; register for the next session below.

STEP TWO: Volunteer Orientation

Volunteer Orientation is typically held at H.E.L.P. on the 3rd Saturday of each month (but can vary so check the dates in the registration form) from 12:30pm - 3:15pm.

At orientation, you’ll learn more about the organization, all the different volunteer opportunities available to you, important safety and regulatory information, and much more. We look forward to seeing you (socially distanced) there!

We are following all local/state requirements and to work towards the safety of everyone at our facility and will send you more info as we get closer to the orientation date.
