What is A Home for H.E.L.P?…

H.E.L.P. has uniquely served the Austin area for over 38 years, residing on E. Howard Lane for 36 of those….until 2021. Due to land development, the beautiful 20 acre facility we were blessed to call home for so many years was sold.

We have temporarily secured a facility at Villarreal Ranch Co., nearby on beautiful Lake Pflugerville, thanks to the Villarreal family. Our goal was to stay as close as possible to stay connected with the community we love.

This home is for as long as we need it for now, but we need a place to call our own….so we’re continuing our search for our long-term home nearby to continue serving the Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville, and other surrounding communities.

Funds raised for A Home for H.E.L.P. will allow us to focus our daily fundraising on continuing our program while we search for a long-term property/facility.

Our current A Home for H.E.L.P. focus is three-fold:

  • Seek out a donor willing to donate ~10 acres of land to donate to H.E.L.P.

  • Gain community support to propose the lease of ~10acres of land from the 124 acre Andeworth property on Killingsworth Ln, which was donated to PISD and has sat unused for over 20 years.

  • Secure a loan to purchase land of our own while leveraging the unique financing options available to 501(c)(3) entities.
